Taylor sheridan tribute
Taylor Sheridan, (creator of Yellowstone, Sicario, Landman, 1883, Hell or High Water, etc.) moved back to Texas right at the beginning of his peak. After his massive success of Yellowstone, he bought the 6666 Ranch in Guthrie and Bosque ranch in Weatherford. These became his choice filming locations as he created show after show, bringing a significant amount of film work and attention to North Texas, something I am extremely grateful for.
In 2022, the Lone Star Film Festival honored him with the Larry McMurtry Award, an annual lifetime achievement award given to those who put North Texas on the map. I had the great fortune of directing the video that introduced him before he was awarded. Shot on a shoestring budget with just me manning two cameras and lights, my producer, Sherman Young, and I spent 10 days traveling all over DFW to meet with extremely important figures all of who are dear friends of Sheridan. Not only did we finish the video just in time, but it was personally loved by Sheridan himself, a man who hates anything written about him.
